Discover the Exciting World of Logistics with PalSystem
In October 2025, PalSystem Union, headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, is set to host an engaging 'Work Experience' event specifically designed for elementary school students and their families. This initiative will take place on the 4th (Saturday) and 13th (Monday holiday) at a logistics and IT experiential facility located in Inagi City, Tokyo. This unique program aims to introduce participants to the fascinating mechanisms that drive home delivery services.
Delve Deep into the Inner Workings of Delivery
The 'Work Experience' event offers participants the chance to explore live sorting machines used at PalSystem's logistics center, alongside original videos, panels, and tablets that will help them learn about the home delivery system in a fun and interactive way. The program is designed to last approximately one hour and has garnered backing from the Inagi City Board of Education.
PalSystem is known for delivering over 10 million items weekly to approximately 800,000 households. During this program, attendees will gain insights into the sophisticated sorting equipment and information systems that make it possible to ensure the reliable delivery of a vast array of products. An important facet of this event is the education on how to navigate the increasing digitalization in modern society, alongside sustainability practices aimed at reducing food waste through the advance ordering of necessary ingredients.
Since 2023, PalSystem has been actively running these experiential work programs. This initiative has welcomed over 1,400 participants, including students from local elementary and middle schools. Students have expressed great enthusiasm, sharing comments like, “Shopping with the tablet was fun,” and “I want to experience more!” Parents have also provided positive feedback, noting, “It was beneficial for adults too,” and “My child has become more interested in food as a result.”
