WorksWay 2026: A New Frontier in Business
On July 28, 2026, Works Applications (WAP) will host its much-anticipated business forum, "WorksWay 2026," online. This year’s theme, "Triune Reform," aims to explore the evolving relationships between people, business operations, and technology in the context of the advancing era of AI.
The forum has become a significant platform since its inception in 2020, attracting over 9,000 participants from diverse backgrounds, including business executives and operational leaders. The overall aim is to encourage growth on both corporate and individual levels.
Keynote Address
Title: Next-Generation Growth Strategies in the AI Age
Speaker: Takashi Nawa, Professor at Kyoto University of Advanced Science and Visiting Professor at Hitotsubashi Business School
Overview:
In a business environment fraught with uncertainty, there is an increasing need for companies to embrace a purpose-driven management style to shape their futures. Generative AI is expected to amplify the potential for this kind of non-linear growth. However, it requires more than a simple digital transformation of existing business processes. Companies need to position generative AI as a value co-creation partner. Concurrently, the evolution of talent through "generative learning" will be crucial. This keynote will propose management models that drive next-generation growth in the AI era.
Special Lecture
Title: What Should Companies Reassess in the AI and Digital Age?
Speaker: Shu Yamaguchi, CEO, Leibniz Corporation
Overview:
The societal implementation of AI is shifting the fundamental nature of work from mere accuracy to discerning what questions to ask and curating meaningful value. In light of these changes, where will companies find their competitive edge? How will talent excellence be redefined? This session will delve into the required transformations in perspectives related to work, organizations, and human resources in the AI age.
Notable Sessions
The forum will also feature additional sessions centered on the interface between management and technology. Moderated by Yajima, chairman of the CIO Lounge, Nariata, CIO of Nissin Food Holdings, will discuss the realities of decision-making in driving corporate transformation, along with the establishment of AI utilization.
Embracing Fundamental Transformation Beyond AI
While excitement around AI utilization grows, merely implementing technology is not the ultimate goal of business transformation. The focus of "WorksWay 2026" is to highlight efficient structures and operational bases that serve as the foundations of corporate competitiveness under the theme of "Triune Reform."
