Seminar on Japan's Aviation Industry



On September 5, 2025, the Japan Planning Institute (JPI) will host a crucial seminar focused on the significant challenges and future vision strategies of Japan's aviation industry. This event will feature Daisuke Fujihara, an expert from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, who will share insights drawn from his extensive experience across various segments of the aviation sector, including aircraft manufacturing, airlines, and regulatory bodies.

Keynote by Daisuke Fujihara


As a case manager in the Research Promotion Office, Fujihara will discuss pressing issues faced by the aviation industry today. Participants can look forward to a detailed examination of various topics, including:

  • - Air traffic control challenges

2050 Vision Strategy


In addition to addressing existing challenges, this seminar will introduce the ongoing efforts by youth advocates to shape a comprehensive 2050 vision strategy for Japan's aviation industry. This initiative seeks to integrate long-term visioning with global trends to ensure that Japan's aviation landscape remains competitive and innovative. The seminar will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing participants to choose between attending in person, joining via live stream, or accessing recorded content for two weeks post-event. This flexibility ensures that everyone can participate conveniently.

Registration Details


The participation fee is set at ¥37,640 (tax included) per individual. Notably, for each registration, an additional companion can attend for free, but prior registration is required. Local government employees benefit from a special rate of ¥11,000 for up to two participants, applicable solely for in-person or live-stream attendance.
