Visit Frederick's FY27 TRIPP Grant Program: A Booster for Local Tourism



Visit Frederick has officially announced the recipients of its FY27 Tourism Reinvestment in Promotion and Product (TRIPP) Grant Program. This year, a total of 22 organizations will receive a combined funding of $463,264.45 to support diverse projects aimed at boosting visitation, overnight stays, and visitor spending across Frederick County. Additionally, $20,000 has been earmarked for unforeseen grant opportunities or the Group Overnight Incentive Program during the fiscal year.

The TRIPP Grant Program, established in 2006, stands as a significant milestone for the enhancement of Frederick County's tourism sector. Since its inception, the program has allocated nearly $5.5 million towards tourism development, demonstrating a commendable commitment to fostering a vibrant local economy.

"Every year, the TRIPP program showcases the strength of Frederick County's nonprofit and cultural community," expressed Dave Ziedelis, Executive Director of Visit Frederick. He noted that the quality and creativity of the grant applications have consistently elevated expectations. Ziedelis highlighted the notable increase in the number of applications received this season, marking it as the highest in the program's history.
