Cabinetworks Group Awards 2025 Plant of the Year to Sayre Facility
In a significant achievement for the manufacturing sector, Cabinetworks Group, the largest privately owned cabinet manufacturer in the United States, has announced that its Sayre, Pennsylvania plant has been recognized as the 2025 Plant of the Year. This prestigious award highlights exceptional performance metrics, outstanding leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The Sayre plant is under the leadership of Holly Jennings, the company’s first and only female plant manager, who has dedicated 25 years of her career to the organization. Her remarkable contributions and steadfast commitment to excellence have played a pivotal role in the plant’s success, making this recognition even more special.
The Plant of the Year award program was initiated in 2025, aimed at celebrating outstanding operational performance within Cabinetworks Group. A selection committee, which included key operational leaders and executives, evaluates each plant based on critical performance metrics such as safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost management, and continuous improvement. The results from the Sayre facility stood out impressively across all these categories, demonstrating a clear alignment with the company’s vision for excellence.
Stellar Performance Metrics
In the judging period, the Sayre plant achieved remarkable results, which included a staggering 67% reduction in safety incident rates year-over-year, marking a significant commitment to workplace safety. Additionally, employee turnover was at a five-year low, showing a 65% decrease, indicative of a satisfied and committed workforce. The plant also achieved a 58% increase in full Kaizen events—a testament to the plant's proactive approach to continuous improvement—along with a 325% increase in cost savings.
Employee engagement soared, with nearly 63% involvement in continuous improvement initiatives, showcasing a robust culture of collaboration and accountability. The operational performance also reflected that Sayre had its best on-time delivery record since mid-2023, a key indicator of efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
Jeff Jackon, the CEO of Cabinetworks Group, commented, “This recognition reflects what great manufacturing looks like at its best—a team that shows up every day committed to quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. The results speak for themselves; however, it is the people behind those results, like Holly, who truly make a difference.”
The awards were ceremoniously presented during the 2026 Operations and Human Resources Leadership Summit, further emphasizing the company’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating its achievements.
Looking Forward
Holly Jennings expressed her gratitude and pride in receiving the award on behalf of her team. “This honor reflects the relentless work, resilience, and unwavering dedication that our team members bring every single day,” Jennings stated. She emphasized that her focus remains steadfast on supporting her team and continuing to foster a strong and collaborative workplace culture.
Cabinetworks Group has made significant strides in the industry, becoming a key player with more than 5,000 team members and multiple facilities across the country. The recognized Sayre plant, along with the Orwell, Ohio plant, awarded for Best in Safety, and the Mount Union, Pennsylvania plant, honored for Best in Quality, represent the company’s diverse strengths and commitment to maintaining superior standards across all its operations.
As Cabinetworks Group continues to lead the way in cabinet manufacturing, the achievements of the Sayre plant serve as a benchmark for excellence within the industry, inspiring other plants and organizations to aspire for similar heights of success. The recognition of the Sayre facility is not just a victory for the team but a statement about the importance of leadership, culture, and continuous improvement in driving remarkable outcomes in manufacturing.
