Orange Jordan and SoftAtHome to Launch Innovative prpl-based Broadband Solution

World Premiere: Orange Jordan Implements Innovative prpl-Based Broadband Solution with SoftAtHome

In a groundbreaking development, Orange Jordan has announced the impending launch of the world's very first broadband solution entirely based on prpl technology, in partnership with SoftAtHome. This innovative solution comprises a home gateway and a Wi-Fi repeater, both driven by prplWare, along with additional products from SoftAtHome.

The integration of prpl technology significantly enhances the lifespan of Orange devices, allowing operators to overcome hardware constraints to introduce new, innovative services. Through this collaboration, SoftAtHome facilitates five critical advantages championed by the prpl Foundation:

1. Increased speed: Simplifying the integration of Gateway stack across multiple platforms.
2. Service-driven innovation: Enabling differentiated service ecosystems for third-party providers.
3. API harmonization: Supporting collaborative efforts and business scaling.
4. Open-source benefits: Improving testing processes and minimizing redundant efforts.
5. Community building: Nurturing a collaborative environment for developers.

The new gateway from Orange Jordan utilizes fiber connectivity while providing the benefits of Wi-Fi 6E technology. This project is further enhanced by adding critical functionalities like VoIP, Wi-Fi repeater capabilities, API migration, and compatibility with existing infrastructure, which were integrated into prplWare for operator-specific needs.

PrplMesh introduces advanced Wi-Fi management features, including intelligent repeater management, packet prioritization, smart channel selection, remote device management, and enhanced security functionalities within the WiFi'ON product running on prplWare.

Orange Jordan expressed its enthusiasm regarding the agreement, stating, "At the start of this project, we sought a software solution that would utilize our existing device base while laying the groundwork for exciting service prospects for our broadband subscribers. SoftAtHome exceeded our expectations with this advanced prpl-based solution and their extensive expertise."

Orange Group praised Orange Jordan's pioneering status as the first in its network to deploy a prpl-based home gateway solution, emphasizing the broader benefits this brings to the operator community, unlocking access to new services built upon home gateways.

Arnaud Bellivier, CEO of SoftAtHome, noted, "I take pride that our teams delivered the world’s first prpl-based solution implemented simultaneously within the home gateway and Wi-Fi repeaters. I also thank Orange Jordan for their continued trust in SoftAtHome and for paving the way for prpl within our operator community."
