BE FORWARD Collaborates with IDOM for Global Used Car Sales Expansion

In a significant move to bolster its presence in the global used car market, BE FORWARD, based in Minato, Tokyo, has announced a collaboration with IDOM, a prominent player in the automotive retail sector. Starting May 26, 2025, this partnership aims to streamline vehicle information sharing, enabling both companies to enhance their offerings to international customers.

This collaboration will allow IDOM to list its inventory on BE FORWARD's cross-border e-commerce platform, thereby expanding its reach to overseas markets while continuing to serve domestic customers. Currently, BE FORWARD operates the website 'beforward.jp', which successfully sold 156,000 used vehicles across 207 countries and regions in the fiscal year ending June 2024. By integrating IDOM's high-quality vehicle stock, the platform is expected to become significantly more attractive to overseas consumers, driving increased traffic and sales.

What is the BE FORWARD Marketplace?


The BE FORWARD Marketplace (BFM) is a cross-border e-commerce solution launched in July 2020, designed to facilitate the export of used cars. It provides suppliers, like IDOM, with a complimentary platform to access international markets. Once suppliers list their vehicles on beforward.jp, BE FORWARD takes care of sales, exports, and delivery. Notably, the service operates with minimal fees—there are no system usage charges, annual fees, or commission fees, as it primarily focuses on domestic vehicle wholesale within Japan.
