Study 1: Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
The first poster focused on usability and adherence in a remote study assessing Borderline Personality Disorder. Conducted in partnership with a top pharmaceutical company and a UK-based academic institution, the study involved 51 participants, 31 with BPD and 20 healthy control subjects. Patients utilized multiple digital measures, including cognitive assessments through the NeuLogiq Platform, mood ratings collected twice daily, and wrist-worn activity monitors.
Interim results indicated that 85% of the BPD group adhered to cognitive and EEG sessions, with mood assessment compliance reaching 90%. This high level of engagement and usability supports the notion that digital approaches may facilitate trials requiring less clinical contact while maintaining measurement frequency.
Study 2: Therapy-Resistant Depression
The second poster detailed a trial assessing neuroplasticity and cognition in patients undergoing treatment with esketamine for therapy-resistant depression. This study was conducted in collaboration with a leading pharmaceutical firm and an EU-based medical center. Initial findings showed that over 98% of in-clinic sessions and about 90% of at-home assessments were completed successfully, with minimal patient-reported burden related to these evaluations.
