A Spotlight on the Vegan Market: FABEX and Premium Food Show 2025
From April 15 to April 17, 2025, Tokyo Big Sight will host the Premium Food Show, a major event focused on introducing food products that cater to the rising demand for vegan, gluten-free, and halal options both domestically and internationally. In conjunction with the state's most significant business expo, FABEX, which specializes in the food service and retail sectors, the event is expected to draw in approximately 60,000 industry professionals over three days. Additionally, the Veg Food Expo, in collaboration with the non-profit organization Veg Project Japan, will also take place during the event.
Dedicated Vegan Selection Area
As part of the Veg Food Expo, a special area called the 'Vegan Selection' will showcase a variety of vegan products. This includes plant-based meats, cheese, butter, custard cream alternatives, as well as ready-made meals and frozen foods. Visitors can expect to see an extensive array of vegan offerings from 15 participating companies, alongside a booth that comprehensively presents the vegan-certified products promoted by Veg Project Japan. This unique setup aims to highlight the growing array of vegan food options available to businesses today.
Business Seminar on the Vegan Market
On April 17 at 1 PM, a critical business seminar titled “Three Reasons Why You Should Start a Vegan Business Now” will take place. This seminar focuses on the significant inbound food demand worth 1.7 trillion yen and is designed to inform businesses about the lucrative opportunities available in the vegan market.
