Dive into the Tokyo Creative Salon 2026
Starting from March 13, 2026, nine areas of Tokyo, including Akasaka, will come alive with the
TOKYO CREATIVE SALON. This marks TBS's third participation in this groundbreaking event designed to showcase the city's extraordinary creativity on a global stage. Since its inception in 2020, this festival has burgeoned into one of Japan's premier creative celebrations.
As cherry blossom season approaches, Tokyo transforms into a vibrant hub of fashion, design, art, technology, and crafts. This week-long event, known as
Tokyo Creative Week, showcases diverse forms of expression all around the city. In Akasaka, the festival will continue to embrace the local cultural heritage, offering an elegant setting for entertainment and social engagements. A series of events and cultural exhibitions are planned to create a dynamic new identity for Akasaka, crafted through collective creativity.
JAPAN PODCAST FESTIVAL 2026
Additionally, on March 14 and 15, the
JAPAN PODCAST FESTIVAL 2026 will take place at the Akasaka Sacas Square. This event highlights the rapid rise of podcasts in Japan, which have evolved into a staple of contemporary lifestyle rather than a fleeting trend. As a testament to this growing phenomenon, the festival will unite professionals from various fields—radio, television, newspapers, digital platforms, and individual creators—under one roof for the first large-scale event of its kind in Japan.
Central to the festival will be approximately
30 live podcast recordings, allowing attendees to experience the intimacy of the podcasting world in a communal setting. This unique occasion will provide a stage for the voices that usually resonate through headphones to be shared live with an enthusiastic audience.
Among the featured programs are:
- - OVER THE SUN with Jane Su and Mika Horii, featuring guests like talent Rena Yamazaki and writer Awa Ito.
- - Seijido-Raku hosted by TBS Radio's Daiki Sawada and election writer Jeffrey Miyahara.
- - A collaborative stage featuring Tokyo Business Hub and Komugiko: Hack Capitalism!!, with insights from podcast producer Takafumi Nomura and researcher Komugi.
- - Nagano wa Mr. TBS, presented by comedian Nagano, alongside guest Sho Hasumi from the comedic group Dow 90000.
- - We Want to Enjoy Reality Shows with choreographer Natsumi Takenaka and Rachel from the music duo chelmico.
More details on stage times and viewing methods will be shared soon on the official
JAPAN PODCAST FESTIVAL 2026 website and each respective program. The collective ambition is to foster a deep appreciation for podcasting as a crucial cultural medium in Japan, marking an exciting chapter for this evolving industry.
