Hawaiian Airlines Joins Oneworld Alliance Enhancing Air Travel Experience

Hawaiian Airlines' Oneworld Alliance Membership



On April 23, 2026, Hawaiian Airlines (HA) made a significant leap by becoming an official member of the Oneworld Alliance. This strategic move integrates Honolulu as a global hub within Oneworld's extensive network, promoting enhanced connectivity and a seamless travel experience for its customers.

This new membership means that Hawaiian Airlines will offer common services across its routes that align with its Oneworld partners. Elite members of Oneworld, regardless of the class in which they are traveling, will enjoy various privileges, including priority check-in, lounge access, and expedited security checks. Notably, passengers flying through Honolulu International Airport will have the chance to access the newly established The Plumeria Lounge, a dedicated Oneworld lounge designed for member airlines’ customers.

Prior to this membership, Hawaiian Airlines and Japan Airlines (JAL) had been collaborating through codeshare agreements and mileage partnerships. This new alliance structure allows Hawaiian Airlines to retain its renowned Aloha Spirit while further enhancing travel convenience as a member of the Alaska Airlines Group. This group, based in Seattle, encompasses Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and Horizon Air, collectively operating to over 140 destinations across North America, Central and South America, Asia, the Pacific, and Europe.

Looking ahead, Hawaiian Airlines plans to merge with Alaska Airlines in September 2024, with all flights operated and sold by Hawaiian Airlines transitioning to Alaska Airlines by April 21, 2026.
