Exciting New Trials of Time Update for Civilization VII

2K and Firaxis Games have officially launched the Trials of Time update for Sid Meier's Civilization VII, marking the most significant enhancement to the game since its release. After over a year of extensive playtesting and community feedback, this update introduces three major new features that revolutionize the gameplay experience.

The Trials of Time

With the Trials of Time feature, players have the freedom to switch to a different civilization during the age transition, or continue playing with the same civilization regardless of whether it is in its golden age or not. If players tackle the Trials of Time with a civilization that is not in its golden age, they can adopt unique units and infrastructures from other civilizations enjoying their golden age through the newly introduced fusion system to create innovative builds. Alternatively, players can enhance their civilization's unique attributes further with the tolerance system.

New Victory System

The update also brings a complete overhaul of the victory conditions in the game. To achieve victory, players must now outshine their opponents throughout the game. This redesigned victory system ensures that players can secure their triumph based on their strategic choices, while also providing multiple pathways to build a greater nation, encouraging diverse gameplay experiences.

The Success System

In a significant shift, the legacy pass has been replaced by a new Success system. This system is linked to six attributes: military, culture, science, economy, diplomacy, and expansionism. As a result, players will have access to fresh challenges every game that offer vast choices and strategic opportunities.

Alongside these three pillars, the Trials of Time update incorporates various other improvements, including:
