Ginza Corporation’s Annual Employee Trip
In June 2026, Ginza Corporation, renowned for its home renovation services based in Tokyo's Chuo Ward, embarked on an unforgettable employees’ trip to Kagoshima. This yearly tradition is integral to enhancing employee satisfaction and teamwork, allowing staff to strengthen their bonds and relish a well-deserved break. This year’s adventure took place over a memorable three-day tour of Kagoshima, where employees were enthusiastic to explore a region newly introduced to them.
Day 1: A Warm Welcome
The trip commenced with a barbecue filled with local delicacies such as black pork, Wagyu beef, and fresh seafood, setting a lively tone for the outing. This was followed by check-in at the esteemed five-star
Kirishima Hotel, famously known for having hosted historical figures like Sakamoto Ryoma. The hotel's
sulfur valley garden onsen, featuring a staggering 14 hot springs, was the highlight of the evening, allowing employees to unwind in rejuvenating waters.
As night fell, an engaging banquet was held where the Executive Director, Mr. Tamura, kicked off the evening with a welcoming speech. Recognizing employee dedication, awards were given to those celebrating their service milestones of 5, 10, 20, and 25 years. The heartfelt speeches expressing gratitude towards the company and colleagues left a profound impact on everyone present.
Day 2: Breathtaking Surroundings
The following day saw staff heading to
Shiroyama Hotel, acclaimed for its outstanding service, food, and thermal baths. The hotel offers stunning views of Sakurajima and Kinko Bay, providing an idyllic backdrop for relaxation. After settling in, a banquet commenced with Ginza's President, Mr. Ikeda, delivering the opening address. The evening culminated in another round of service award presentations, honoring employees marking 15 years with the company.
A particularly moving moment occurred when a senior staff member from Kagoshima gave an inspiring speech, sharing personal connections to the area. Together with their peers, they performed the local folk song,
Oharabetsu, turning the gathering into a jubilant celebration.
Further recognition went to outstanding sales employees who received accolades for their impressive performance. Each winner shared reflections on their achievements and aspirations for the upcoming period, highlighting the dedication that drives success within the organization. Their stories were met with enthusiastic applause, showcasing a strong spirit of camaraderie among the participants. Awards for top sales (1st to 3rd place) and customer satisfaction (CS awards) were also presented.
Day 3: Cultural Immersion
The final day of the trip was packed with visits to significant landmarks that highlighted the charm of
Kagoshima. Participants toured a local shochu distillery boasting spectacular views from Shiroyama Hotel, explored the
Hyakunen Cedar Garden adjacent to Kirishima Hotel, and indulged in delicious shabu-shabu featuring Kagoshima’s renowned black pork. This journey not only provided a taste of Kagoshima's local culture but also allowed employees to forge memorable experiences together.
