GLOBIS Business School Honors Outstanding Alumni at the 21st GLOBIS Alumni Awards
The GLOBIS Graduate School of Management, located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, held the awarding ceremony for the 21st GLOBIS Alumni Awards during the Asuka Conference 2025, which took place on July 5th and 6th in Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture. The event recognized a total of five exceptional individuals across three categories: Creativity, Transformation, and Social Impact.
The GLOBIS Alumni Awards are presented to graduates who have significantly contributed to the creation of startups and the transformation of existing organizations. The award evaluation considers not only financial performance but also the impact on social value and the personal charisma of the leaders involved. Winners are celebrated for their innovative approaches and significant contributions to society.
The Asuka Conference, which served as the venue for this award ceremony, is an annual event where top leaders from various industries gather alongside current and former GLOBIS students and faculty. This conference aims to continue providing a platform for developing skills, ambition, and human networks, which are central tenets of GLOBIS’s educational philosophy. The 21st Asuka Conference in 2025 saw around 1,200 participants come together to share knowledge and foster community learning, particularly in support of regional revitalization initiatives led by the GLOBIS Group in Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture.

Highlights of the Awardees
Tomo Saka's Accomplishments
Tomo Saka joined Coincheck, Inc. in November 2022. As the Executive Officer overseeing the marketing division, he led efforts to establish a common understanding of metrics and data definitions across the organization, which facilitated effective communication and streamlined decision-making. By April 2023, he was promoted to Senior Executive Officer and then, in July of the same year, to Executive Vice President. He has been credited with initiating a comprehensive organizational restructuring aimed at optimizing costs and improving management frameworks, paving the way for Coincheck’s growth and positioning for a successful public listing in the U.S. by the parent company.
Aya Kubo's Achievements
Aya Kubo became an Executive Officer at Flyer, Inc. in February 2020, where she grew the book community ‘flier book lab’ and the educational program ‘flier book camp’ from a modest size to revenue numbers that significantly increased over five years. Her leadership resulted in the re-establishment of customer success initiatives crucial for a SaaS business after overcoming challenges, and she made considerable contributions to the overall growth and diversification of Flyer’s business portfolio.
Tatsunobu Kawai's Leadership
Tatsunobu Kawai transformed Yuraku Confectionery into a brand associated with the popular 'Black Thunder' candy through innovative marketing strategies. He initiated the 'Smile Cacao Project,' switching to sustainable cacao sourcing practices to eliminate child labor, achieving a 100% rate for sustainable cacao usage within the company in the previous year. His efforts also promote local economic growth through collaborations and initiatives with regional enterprises.
Yusuke Hara's Impact
Yusuke Hara began his career as a production technology engineer and later took on critical roles in the management strategy department, shaping the company’s long-term vision during a period of significant change in the automobile sector. He has led numerous reforms aimed at enhancing employee engagement and institutionalizing a culture of growth and adaptation in the workplace, consistently focusing on the balance between the company’s objectives and employee satisfaction.
Toka Chiyozaki's Social Contributions
Toka Chiyozaki spearheads initiatives for Neurodiversity and Inclusion at Accenture. He has expanded programs for employees with mental and developmental disabilities, creating productive workplaces where diverse talents can thrive. His strategies have led to significant recognition for Accenture’s inclusive workplace practices, aligning with their corporate strategy focused on diversity.
