Gretsch Guitars Unveils Innovative Jet Series Models
Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) has recently introduced the latest addition to its Gretsch® brand: the Jet™ series, comprising two distinct models, the Electromatic® Jet™ and Streamliner™ Jet™. These guitars are set to hit the market, with the Electromatic® Jet™ available from January 2026 and the Streamliner™ Jet™ launching on December 18, 2025.
Designed with the modern musician in mind, both the Electromatic Jet and Streamliner Jet lines showcase versatile, high-quality guitars that merge iconic aesthetics with powerful sound. They are engineered for stable tuning, exceptional playability, and flexibility across various music genres. The new Jet series encapsulates Gretsch’s legacy of over 140 years, which has consistently supported innovative artists across different genres.
Despite being positioned in an entry-level price bracket, these new Jet models integrate a variety of innovative features that transcend typical entry-class offerings, ensuring uncompromising quality. Designed to empower the next generation of musicians, this series supports artists to carve their own musical path, whether in underground gigs or at major festivals.
The
Electromatic® Jet™ boasts a new Performance “C” neck shape designed for a superior fit and player comfort. It is equipped with a newly developed PureVolt™ Twin Six™ humbucker, delivering that signature Gretsch sound characterized by clarity and punch. In contrast, the
Streamliner™ Jet™ features the HotWire™ ceramic humbucker, known for producing lively and impactful tones, complemented by the Fast “C” neck shape that facilitates smooth and speedy playability. Both models share common features, including a contoured body and a smoothly machined neck heel, along with the Jet series’ very first split-V headstock. Moreover, a slightly extended scale length enhances tension, contributing to improved playability and stability.
Max Gottnick, FMIC's Chief Product Officer, expressed, “Gretsch has long been cherished by many great players. With the Electromatic Jet and Streamliner Jet, we aimed to create guitars that encourage players to step into new expression. They are designed for the next generation of musicians, shaping the sound of tomorrow, from rock and indie to entirely new musical genres.”
