Experience the Magic of Summer at Yakushi Summer Festival 2026
The Yakushi Summer Festival is set to bring a vibrant atmosphere to Machida’s Yakushi Pond Park, making it a special summer event that promises joy and excitement. This will be the first summer festival hosted in the park's scenic Shikisai-no-Mori West Area on August 15 and 16, from 5 PM to 8 PM. It’s an opportunity for families, friends, and the local community to create unforgettable summer memories together.
Enjoy Unique Food and Entertainment
Attendees can look forward to a range of delightful food options, uniquely crafted for this event. The café and restaurant area will serve exclusive treats like the “Yakisoba Burger” and “Chocolate Banana Soft Serve,” ensuring you savor flavors that are only available during this festival. Additionally, food trucks will line the grassy area, offering traditional summer snacks such as cotton candy, candied apples, and shaved ice, which are synonymous with summer festivities.
For children and families, the festival will host various workshops, including nature crafts, balloon art, and body painting. These activities are designed to engage younger attendees and ignite their creativity.
A musical stage will also be a focal point of the event, featuring lively performances such as traditional Eisa dance and showcases from local singer-songwriters, contributing to a festive spirit that echoes throughout the park.
Special Fireworks and Twinkling Lanterns
In a remarkable twist, part of the parking area will be designated as a firework zone—this is an exceptional allowance, as normally, open flames are prohibited in the park. Attendees can enjoy handheld fireworks purchased within the park’s grounds, adding to the evening's festivities. The park itself will be beautifully adorned with lanterns, enhancing the magical atmosphere of a summer night.
