Experience Hoppy Night in Kichijoji!

On July 11, 2025, the Kichijoji Tokyu REI Hotel will host a special one-night only event titled "Hoppy Night! Eating and Drinking Kichijoji Night Festival" in collaboration with Hoppy Beverage Co., Ltd. This event is limited to the first 40 guests, ensuring an intimate and engaging atmosphere.

Attendees will delight in unlimited servings of “Daru Hoppy,” a rare treat direct from the Hoppy Beverage factory in Chofu. Not only will the classic Hoppy (known as 'White Hoppy') be available, but guests can also savor the enticing flavors of “Black Hoppy.” A variety of drinking styles will be offered, including a half-and-half option of White and Black Hoppy, as well as unique Hoppy cocktails.

Culinary highlights will be presented by the hotel's chef, Toru Katanosaka, showcasing specially crafted appetizers that pair perfectly with Hoppy beverages. Guests can expect a diverse buffet menu featuring an array of cold and warm dishes, all expertly designed to enhance the Hoppy experience. Some of the enticing options include seafood cocktails, smoked duck with devil mayonnaise, cold beef with garlic soy sauce, and Hoppy-infused shrimp fritters with chili sauce.

Moreover, representatives from Hoppy Beverage's headquarters and factory will be on hand to share insights into the history of Hoppy, discuss the art of enjoying it, and explain the meticulous brewing process that contributes to its unique flavor. The chef will also take the opportunity to share his inspirations behind the dishes and answer any questions attendees might have.

The atmosphere is designed to reflect the lively spirit of a festival, with standing bar-style seating as the primary setup, although a limited number of table seats will also be available. Guests are invited to enjoy a full two hours of delicious food and drink, tailored to their personal styles.

Menu Overview:

• - Cold Appetizers: Seafood and Hoppy jelly cocktail, smoked duck with devil mayonnaise, garlic soy cold beef, and assorted vegetables with anchovy dip.
• - Warm Appetizers: Pizza, ham cutlet with egg, chicken liver and gizzards ajillo, miso stew with white offal and vegetables, Hoppy-battered shrimp fritters with chili sauce, Hoppy beef stew, and more.
• - Rice and Noodles: Sichuan-style mapo tofu, customizable ochazuke, and nametake oroshi soba.
• - Drinks: Daru Hoppy, Daru Black Hoppy, Hoppy original cocktails, and various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Please note that prices include service charges and consumption taxes. Additionally, as per legal regulations, alcohol service will not be provided to designated drivers and individuals under 20 years of age.
