Tokyo Employment Program 2025: A Gateway to Full-Time Jobs

The Tokyo Employment Program, managed by the Tokyo Employment Foundation, is now accepting applications for its 2025 second session starting on August 5. This program aims to assist job seekers aged between 30 to 54 who are looking to secure full-time employment in Tokyo.

What is the Tokyo Employment Program?

The Tokyo Employment Program is a unique experience-driven initiative designed to help unemployed individuals gain the necessary skills and confidence to enter the workforce as full-time employees. It targets those who may feel anxious about finding jobs due to gaps in employment or lack of experience in full-time roles. Participants will engage in two months of practical job training following a series of career design workshops aimed at helping them understand their strengths and weaknesses.

Support Offered to Participants

Each participant will have access to a dedicated job trainer who will provide continuous support throughout the entire process - from program enrollment to job hunting and securing a position. Additionally, qualified participants are eligible for a job-seeking support grant of 5,000 yen per day during their practical training days.

• - Program Duration: August 5, 2025 - September 29, 2025 (Weekdays only, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM)
• - Location: Tokyo Employment Program Venue, 4th Floor, Nishi Shinjuku Building, 7-7-29 Nishi Shinjuku, Tokyo.
• - Capacity: 20 participants maximum (selection through interviews; applications may close once capacity is reached).
• - Application Deadline: July 31, 2025 (Final application date hours are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM).

Who Should Apply?

Eligibility requirements include:
1. Individuals currently not employed full-time on the program start date.
2. Those who have worked full-time for a cumulative total of less than six months in the past year.
