Boundless Futures Foundation: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs
The Boundless Futures Foundation (BFF), established in 2023 by Soon and McKeel Hagerty, has published its first Annual Report, detailing a significant impact during its inaugural year. With a commitment to bridging the gap for women business owners, the foundation has provided essential funding, mentorship, and resources aimed at supporting female entrepreneurs across the United States.
A Year of Impact
As outlined in the report, BFF has awarded a remarkable
$585,000 in grants, empowering female entrepreneurs and supporting nonprofits dedicated to the advancement of women in business. The foundation's funding was allocated through two main initiatives: the
EmpowHer Grants totaling
$445,000, which directly supported 22 women entrepreneurs, and the
Her Village Grants totaling
$140,000, assisting five nonprofit organizations.
In its first year, BFF has also supported
30 female founders and served
31 female entrepreneurs through nonprofit leadership programs. The foundation emphasizes the importance of mentorship and community, providing recipients with a network of experienced female entrepreneurs through its Advisory Circle. McKeel Hagerty, Co-Founder and member of the Advisory Circle, stated, “The entrepreneurs we worked with all shared a need for mentorship and honest strategic conversations. It's vital that they know there is someone who believes in them.”
New Initiatives to Support Women Entrepreneurs
In addition to financial aid, BFF has launched several initiatives to further support women entrepreneurs. One standout project is the
EmpowHer Marketplace, an online platform designed to showcase and promote businesses owned by grant recipients. This initiative encourages public support for women-owned enterprises by offering unique home goods, accessories, and other products.
Furthermore, in response to the evolving needs of grantees, the foundation has introduced the
FoundHer Success Kit, a free downloadable resource that includes templates for business planning, financial tracking, and wellness guidance for entrepreneurs. This tool is available to anyone interested in accessing resources to help them build robust businesses.
Looking Ahead
As BFF embarks on its second year, the foundation is determined to continue its mission of investing in women entrepreneurs who are not just looking to grow their businesses, but are also committed to generating societal impact. The foundation is driven by its vision of unlocking boundless futures for women who are poised to become tomorrow's changemakers.
Soon Hagerty, the Foundation's Co-Founder and President, expressed excitement over the results of the first year, stating, “To see our impact documented so clearly in this annual report is validating. We are just getting started when it comes to addressing the systemic issues that female founders face, and we are eager to build on our momentum.”
As Boundless Futures Foundation grows, it remains steadfast in its dedication to providing the necessary capital, mentorship, and supportive community for female entrepreneurs looking to make a meaningful difference through their businesses.
