IGEL's Strategic Appointment in the Healthcare Sector
IGEL, a renowned global software company, has made a significant announcement regarding its commitment to the healthcare sector in EMEA by appointing James Millington as the Field Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for healthcare. This strategic move underscores IGEL's ongoing investment in healthcare and its dedication to providing enhanced support for clients and partners throughout the region.
As the newly appointed Field CTO, Millington will collaborate closely with clients, field teams, and IGEL partners across EMEA, driving the adoption of IGEL's secure, immutable endpoint platform within clinical and healthcare environments. He joins the leadership team alongside Jason Mafera, who leads North America's Field CTO initiatives, thus ensuring specialized leadership in the healthcare realm across both sides of the Atlantic.
Millington brings a wealth of experience to this role, having worked with healthcare providers worldwide in previous leadership positions at Armis, VMware, Imprivata, and Citrix. Before his promotion, he spent nearly three years at IGEL leading product marketing. In this capacity, he played a vital role in shaping market positioning and messaging for the company’s platform, with CEO Klaus Oestermann. His experience and insights will now be instrumental as he engages directly with clients and partners in EMEA.
IGEL's focus on groundbreaking endpoint strategies aligns perfectly with the growing demand in EMEA for modern, resilient, and secure terminal solutions that enhance patient care while mitigating operational risks. As noted by Matthias Haas, IGEL's General Manager and CTO, "Healthcare organizations in EMEA are increasingly seeking modern strategies that improve patient care and operational resilience."
Millington’s extensive healthcare expertise and customer-centered approach are essential for assisting organizations in navigating this transformative period. Through IGEL's Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform, healthcare providers can ensure secure access for clinical professionals while simplifying endpoint management across distributed environments. This robust platform is designed to support optimal operations, allowing healthcare entities to better respond to the evolving landscape of patient care and cybersecurity challenges.
As James Millington stated, "The healthcare sector is entering a pivotal phase of innovation in EMEA. Providers must discover new ways to lower operational costs, enhance care quality, and support digital and virtual models. Our goal is to establish a secure endpoint foundation from the ground up that not only protects access to critical systems but also strengthens resilience and reduces complexity at scale."
In his new role, Millington will focus on expanding IGEL's partner ecosystem throughout EMEA. He aims to assist healthcare organizations in integrating IGEL's solutions into broader safe access strategies and resilience efforts.
