Eco Partnership: F-Peco and Yamabun Launch Sustainable Initiatives in Toyota, Aichi

A Collaborative Eco Initiative in Toyota

In an ambitious move towards sustainability, F-Peco and Super Yamabun have officially declared their Eco Store Collaboration initiative, focusing on enhancing horizontal recycling practices and integrating eco-friendly products into their operations. This partnership aims to strengthen community involvement and significantly reduce CO2 emissions across seven Super Yamabun stores located in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture.

Goals of the Initiative

F-Peco, represented by Chairman Morimasa Sato, and Super Yamabun, led by President Hiroaki Yamanaka, aspire to make their stores eco-leaders within the community. Customers are encouraged to bring used food trays and transparent containers to designated collection boxes at Super Yamabun locations. Once collected, these materials will be processed by F-Peco and transformed into valuable eco-products. This store-to-store horizontal recycling approach creates a circular economy where stores serve as both collection and distribution points for these eco-friendly items.

By the end of May 2027, Super Yamabun has set an ambitious target to reduce CO2 emissions by 87 tons each year, further emphasizing their commitment to sustainable growth.

Understanding Horizontal Recycling

Horizontal recycling is a process where materials are repurposed without changing their application, allowing a true circular economy to flourish. In this initiative, resources are recycled into eco trays, eco APET, and eco OPET, contributing to a sustainable cycle of usage and reuse.

Educational Outreach Efforts

In addition to promoting recycling, F-Peco and Super Yamabun are dedicated to enhancing environmental education within the community. They plan to organize various environmental awareness events at their stores and develop outreach programs for local elementary schools. These initiatives will not only address community waste management but also advocate for sustainable practices and responsible resource utilization.

The ultimate goal of these efforts is to contribute to a sustainable circular society, where environmental education plays a critical role in fostering eco-conscious behaviors among both children and adults.
