In a significant development for the technology landscape, the Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA) has appointed Dan Wensley as its new CEO following an extensive search that attracted numerous candidates from around the globe. Wensley, a recognized figure in the IT sector, brought years of experience and a community-focused mindset to the position. Prior to joining GTIA, Dan Wensley played crucial roles in various organizations, most notably as the strategic advisor and former CEO of ScalePad, where he successfully navigated the company through increasing its workforce from 30 to 247 employees and expanding its partner base tremendously. His previous experience on the GTIA board from 2012 to 2015 adds another layer of insight to his new role.
Wensley is no stranger to accolades; he has been recognized as a Channel Chief and inducted into the MSPmentor Hall of Fame. His long-standing career, which spans over three decades, includes prominent positions in companies like Level Platforms, Plan 27, and PassPortal, wherein he held strategic leadership roles and worked closely with emerging vendors.
In the upcoming months, Wensley will be participating in various events, including the GTIA UK Ireland Community Forum Spotlight Awards scheduled for June 26 in Manchester, UK, and ChannelCon 2025 set to take place in Nashville from July 29 to 31. Both events promise to offer great opportunities for networking and learning within the technology community, and registration for ChannelCon is already underway.
