Fuze Finance Breaks Ground in Switzerland Amidst Rising Demand for Crypto Assets

Fuze Finance Expands into Switzerland

Fuze Finance, a recognized provider of infrastructure for crypto-assets, has officially announced its expansion into Switzerland. This strategic move marks the company’s entry into Western Europe and aims to address the growing demand for crypto-assets and stablecoins in the region. With existing regulatory licenses in the Middle East, Turkey, and Canada, Fuze is now set to enhance its global reach and offerings.

Understanding the current landscape, approximately 80% of Swiss banks have yet to introduce regulated offerings for crypto-assets, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) referencing Switzerland’s financial regulatory authority, FINMA. Against this backdrop, Fuze Finance aims to fill this gap, providing much-needed regulated infrastructure for institutional clients.

The company has received approval from the Supervisory Organisation for Financial Intermediaries and Trustees (SO-FIT), which designates it as a supervised financial intermediary, compliant with the Anti-Money Laundering Act. This approval is crucial as it allows Fuze to operate within Switzerland’s stringent financial regulations, thereby ensuring that clients receive secure and reliable services.

Mo Ali Yusuf, CEO of Fuze Finance, expressed enthusiasm about establishing operations in Switzerland, recognizing it as a pivotal hub for financial services. “Switzerland is a leader in crypto-assets regulation, and we’re looking forward to bringing our experience to one of the world’s most important financial centers. Our goal is to provide secure, regulated infrastructure that facilitates innovation and scalability for institutions navigating the crypto landscape,” he explained.

Fuze Finance aims to serve institutional clients by offering a comprehensive package that includes crypto-asset infrastructure and stablecoin settlement services, along with traditional payment rails such as SWIFT, SEPA, and the Swiss interbank clearing system, SIC. This integrated approach allows Fuze to bridge digital and conventional financial infrastructures, providing a one-stop solution for institutional needs.

Tailored specifically for private banks and wealth managers, Fuze’s services will be executed through Swiss-regulated partner institutions. This ensures that clients experience a fully disclosed crypto-asset service model, delivered with the utmost transparency and reliability.

Additionally, the company will support institutional crypto brokerage, over-the-counter (OTC) execution on an agency basis, and embedded crypto-asset brokerage services. This multi-faceted approach underscores Fuze Finance’s commitment to fostering crypto-asset adoption among institutional players, which is further corroborated by a joint paper produced with blockchain security and risk solutions provider, Halborn.

Gianluca Masini, the Country Manager for Fuze Finance (Switzerland), highlighted the significant regulatory framework established in the country. “Switzerland has built a framework that recognizes crypto-assets as crucial to the future of finance. We are committed to developing a strong on-the-ground team that can respond nimbly to local needs and standards and uphold the high expectations of Swiss banks and fintech firms,” he stated.

As the landscape of finance evolves, Fuze Finance is poised to play a significant role in shaping the future of crypto-services in Switzerland, aiming to connect traditional financial systems with the burgeoning world of digital assets. With a robust infrastructure in place, Fuze is expected to make significant strides in meeting the increasing demands of its institutional clients.
