Cruise Planners Receives ESGR Seven Seals Award for Support of the National Guard and Reserve
Cruise Planners Honored with the ESGR Seven Seals Award
On May 13, 2025, Cruise Planners, recognized as the nation's largest home-based travel advisor franchise network, received the prestigious Seven Seals Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). This honor underscores Cruise Planners’ steadfast commitment to supporting members of the National Guard and Reserve along with their families.
The Seven Seals Award is one of the most significant accolades offered by ESGR and the U.S. Department of Defense. It recognizes exceptional individual or organizational efforts directed towards supporting military members, including those serving in the seven reserve branches of the U.S. military: Army National Guard, Army Reserve, Navy Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, and Coast Guard Reserve.
Rita M. Broadway, a Retired Army Major General and Chair of the Florida Committee for ESGR, highlighted the importance of Cruise Planners’ dedication to those serving. "We commend Cruise Planners for their continued efforts and thank them for being a true partner in supporting those who serve," Broadway stated during the awards ceremony.
Cruise Planners has crafted a business model that empowers Guard and Reservist members, as well as active military and their spouses, to operate their thriving travel businesses from any location across the globe. "At Cruise Planners, we recognize the sacrifices made by our military service members and their families and are proud to stand behind those who serve our country," commented Michelle Fee, CEO and Founder of Cruise Planners. Fee emphasized the honor of receiving this award as a reinforcement of their ongoing commitment to military heroes both in the workplace and beyond.
This recognition follows a previous accolade for Cruise Planners; they were awarded the Department of Defense Patriot Award, which celebrates extraordinary support provided by supervisors and employers to Guardsman or Reservist employees. Peter Caspari, a Florida ESGR Volunteer and Employer Outreach Director, declared, "Their steadfast support of the military—particularly towards employees who serve—sets a powerful example for others." The award was formally presented during the 2025 Fleet Week Port Everglades Military Employer Recognition Breakfast, part of the annual U.S. Navy Fleet Week festivities in Fort Lauderdale, which has acknowledged civilian employers' vital roles in national defense for over two decades.
