Katsushika Ward Invites Innovative Tourism Ideas for Mizumoto Park

Invitation for Tourism Projects at Mizumoto Park

Katsushika Ward is excited to announce a new initiative aimed at enhancing the appeal of Mizumoto Park, one of Tokyo's largest waterway parks, by inviting businesses to propose innovative tourism projects. This initiative seeks to tap into the park's unique natural scenery and cultural offerings, which have become increasingly important to travelers seeking authentic experiences.

Enhancing Regional Tourism

In recent years, there has been a growing interest in tourism that emphasizes the unique nature and culture of a region. As such, the preference for experiences that are distinctive to an area has risen significantly. In response to feedback from the community, Katsushika Ward is aiming to stimulate the creation of tourism content that fully utilizes the charms of Mizumoto Park. This two-part approach is designed to attract visitors to the park while creating a vibrant atmosphere.

Combining Resources and Ideas

The initiative focuses on merging the unique resources available in Mizumoto Park, such as its serene waterway landscape and natural environment, with innovative ideas and expertise from participating businesses. The goal is to enhance the visitor experience by enrichening the park's offerings and creating new content exclusive to Mizumoto Park.

This project marks the first time Katsushika Ward has opened its parks for private proposals aiming at tourism content creation, reflecting the local government's commitment to fostering community collaboration and developing the local economy.

Financial Support for Selected Proposals

For those proposals that are selected, Katsushika Ward will provide financial support covering up to two-thirds of the project costs, with a maximum subsidy of ¥2 million.
