Vantage Foundation Celebrates the Spirit of Giving

The Vantage Foundation has long been committed to uplifting children and families in difficult situations. Recently, they strengthened this resolve through a meaningful partnership with Starlight Children’s Foundation Sydney. Particularly during the festive season, this collaboration brings hope and joy to those who need it the most.

In light of this initiative, Team Building with Purpose organized a group volunteer session where Vantage Foundation employees came together to assemble and wrap delightful gift hampers known as Sparkle Packs. These special hampers were intended for children undergoing treatment in hospitals, aiming to spread smiles and ignite joy during what can be a challenging time for them and their families.

A dedicated team of 10 volunteers participated in this initiative, resulting in 27 sick children receiving these thoughtfully prepared packs. Each Sparkle Pack included a selection of LEGO sets, educational toys, colorful books, card games, and art supplies to foster creativity and enjoyment. Adding an extra personal touch, the volunteers penned heartfelt handwritten messages in each hamper, delivering warm wishes and encouragement to the children.

In addition to these tangible gifts, the initiative also provided essential financial support to Starlight Children's Foundation. Through the collaboration with Team Building with Purpose, 50% of the session's net profits, amounting to at least AUD 500 plus GST, was donated. This funding is set to enable the charity to create special Arts and Crafts kits for 25 additional children, thereby widening the reach of this heartfelt initiative.

The timing of this collaboration couldn't be more significant. While the festive season is often a time of joy and celebration, it can also intensify feelings of anxiety and emotional strain for families dealing with serious health challenges. Through this initiative, the Vantage Foundation aimed to alleviate some of that burden, presenting moments filled with happiness and reassurance when they are most needed.

Steven Xie, the Executive Director of the Vantage Foundation, emphasized the importance of their mission: “The festive season can be especially tough for children who are unwell and their families. By partnering with Starlight Children's Foundation, we hope to bring joy and comfort through the simple yet powerful act of play. Our wish is for these Sparkle Packs to remind the children and their families that they are not alone.”
