Greener Power Solutions Welcomes Jasper van den Driest as New CEO

On July 22, 2025, Greener Power Solutions, a key player in large-scale mobile battery rentals for temporary energy solutions, revealed that Jasper van den Driest will take over as Chief Executive Officer starting September 1, 2025. He replaces Dieter Castelein, one of the co-founders, after eight successful years in which the company saw substantial growth and transformation.

This leadership change occurs as Greener Power prepares to enter a vital phase of international expansion, propelled by significant market demand and the support of infrastructure investor CVC DIF, which has backed the company since its growth surge in 2022. Greener’s team has already tripled, boasting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for revenue exceeding 50% during this period.

Transitioning Leadership

Jasper van den Driest joins Greener from Vandebron, a Dutch energy provider serving 240,000 households, where he has been the CEO. His experience also extends to his previous role as CEO of Guidion, a B2B platform for telecom and energy technicians. His extensive background in leadership, combined with a commitment to driving the energy transition, positions him to lead Greener effectively.

In his new role, van den Driest aims to capitalize on Greener's established momentum for rapid growth. Under the founders Klaas Akkerman and Dieter Castelein, the company has consistently expanded its mobile battery fleet, increasing from 40 units in 2022 to 185 currently, with ambitions to reach 250 by the end of 2025. The staff count has similarly grown from 20 to 65, extending its reach across various European markets, including the Netherlands, UK, Spain, France, and Sweden.

Greener's growth is propelled by a rising demand for clean, flexible, and cost-effective energy alternatives, particularly as society moves away from diesel generators. The company's battery solutions are designed to integrate seamlessly with solar and wind energy systems, as well as hydrogen-powered generators, emphasizing a commitment to sustainability.
