Outstanding Contributions to Aerospace Materials


SeAH AD has been a key supplier of aluminum extrusion materials specifically designed for Boeing aircraft. The company extended its partnership with Boeing by signing a multi-year contract in December 2025, further solidifying its role as a crucial player in aviation materials.

As the only company in Korea capable of producing aerospace-grade aluminum extrusion materials, SeAH AD specializes in high-strength 2000 and 7000 series aluminum alloys. These alloys are essential for constructing fuselages and wings, offering advantages such as superior fatigue resistance and lightweight properties that directly contribute to the aircraft's performance.

Innovations in Manufacturing


The 2000 series of aluminum alloys stands out for its excellent resistance to wear and heat, which is vital in extending the lifespan of aircraft skin structures. Meanwhile, the 7000 series provides robustness akin to steel while being significantly lighter, enhancing overall efficiency and performance in aerospace applications.

SeAH AD has also achieved numerous milestones in the field of aerospace manufacturing. Notably, in collaboration with SeAH CSS, the company developed Korea’s first prototype AI7050 spar structural component for commercial aircraft wings.
Since 2023, SeAH AD has been supplying two types of wing spar forgings for 190 Gulfstream G280 aircraft produced by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). Furthermore, in 2024, the company localized the production of AL7136 aluminum extrusion material, enabling them to mass-produce components for Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer.

Future Investments and Expansion


SeAH AD is actively investing in its growth and capabilities by constructing a state-of-the-art second manufacturing facility in Changnyeong, South Korea. Expected to be completed in the first half of 2027, this facility will utilize cutting-edge technology aimed at expanding production capacities for aircraft fuselage and wing applications.

With the aim of optimizing materials supply chains across Northeast Asia, including China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and India, this facility will play a critical role in strengthening SeAH AD's global presence.
