Key Products and Services
1.
DNP Moisture-Absorbing Packaging: This packaging material is designed to manage humidity levels inside packages and their contents by embedding a moisture-absorbing agent into polymer resin (polyolefin base). This innovation addresses the challenges faced by moisture-sensitive pharmaceuticals, which can deteriorate when they absorb moisture from the air, thereby reducing efficacy.
2.
DNP High-Barrier Aluminum Vapor-Deposited Film (IB-FILM®): This is a film packaging solution that serves as a viable alternative to aluminum foil often used in pharmaceutical products and testing kits. It boasts high gas barrier properties against oxygen and water vapor while also being light-proof. Transitioning from aluminum foil to this film can reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 16% across the supply chain during both material procurement and manufacturing stages.
3.
Logistics Business Improvement Services: DNP leverages automatic identification technologies such as RFID (IC tags) and QR codes to create systems that manage a range of company assets, including raw materials, products, tools, equipment, and spare parts. This service aims to streamline inventory management, enhance accuracy, centralize dispersed information, optimize stock levels, and prevent unauthorized removal. DNP aids companies by designing systems that maximize the use of these technologies tailored to their unique business processes and supporting evaluations of outcomes both before and after implementation.
4.
Medical Logistics Outsourcing (Business Process Outsourcing): As a logistics company within the DNP Group, DNP Logistics has obtained licenses for wholesale drug sales and pharmaceutical manufacturing (packaging, labeling, and storage) at its East and West major logistics centers. In April 2025, DNP will establish the Azusawa Center in Itabashi, Tokyo, focusing on logistics for the medical healthcare sector. This facility will provide comprehensive medical logistics outsourcing services that include the storage, assembly, and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, contributing to reduced indirect workloads and improved logistics efficiency and cost reduction for client companies.
DNP’s participation in INTERPHEX JAPAN 2025 underscores its commitment to innovation and sustainability in the pharmaceutical and medical fields, aiming to contribute positively to both the industry and the environment.
