Successful Tourism DX Seminar: Replay Available Soon!

The General Association for Promoting DX in Local Governments (GDX) proudly announces that the widely appreciated seminar titled "How Not to Create Tourism Apps Anymore? - Utilizing Spot AI (ToyTalk) to Solve Tourism and Community Issues" will soon be available for replay. This seminar, held initially on May 27, 2026, and successfully re-broadcast on June 10, has garnered significant attention from local governments, tourism associations, and Destination Management Organizations (DMOs).

Engaging Feedback from Participants

Feedback collected from attendees revealed a wealth of enthusiasm and insightful reflections. Many expressed their appreciation for the seminar's practical insights:

  • - Understanding Common Challenges: Participants felt they could identify common pain points shared across regions when it comes to advancing tourism DX.
  • - Resonating with Operational Challenges: Many echoed the sentiments of facing shortage of time, budget, and workforce, illustrating the structural challenges in tourism management.
  • - Attractive Simplicity of Spot AI: Attendees were impressed by the ease and low cost of implementing Spot AI, leading to keen interest in trialing the platform for their own needs.
  • - Practical Demonstrations: The live demonstration of Spot AI's functionalities provided attendees with a clear vision of its potential applications.
  • - Content for Immediate Implementation: Many envisioned how they might utilize the features of Spot AI to tackle recurrent inquiries, especially during peak seasons or major events.

This positive feedback is precisely why GDX has decided to offer a replay of this impactful seminar to accommodate those who were unable to attend the live sessions.

Context for the Seminar

Recent findings from GDX's survey on "City Promotion and Tourism DX" conducted in July 2025 highlighted that nearly 49% of personnel from local governments and tourism organizations are managing tourism DX efforts alongside other responsibilities. Additionally, the vast majority of these organizations operate with a budget of less than 5 million yen, showcasing the ongoing struggle of limited human resources and financial support in these environments.

The conventional approach to tourism apps, which often requires months to set up and hundreds of thousands of yen in investment, doesn’t align with the realities faced by many local governments. Consequently, numerous examples have surfaced of organizations that have invested in apps only to find them underutilized or burdensome to manage after deployment.

A Practical Solution

This seminar addressed this disconnect by introducing Spot AI “ToyTalk,” a promising new option developed by Bridgewell Corporation. Spot AI was presented as a way to meet the demands of local governments without the high cost and heavy operational requirements of traditional tourist apps.

The session underscored how the benefits of utilizing ToyTalk could drastically change how local governments approach tourism marketing and community engagement.

Recommended for Local Governments in Need

The seminar content was tailored for local government employees and tourism associations facing these challenges:

  • - Existing apps burdening operational workloads.
  • - Needs for efficient visitor support capabilities during events despite budget constraints.
  • - Interest in exploring AI solutions that don’t demand significant investment.
  • - A desire for flexible solutions aligned with short-term events or campaigns while improving customer service quality with a limited workforce.

Keynote Speaker

The session featured a lead presentation by Mr. Kunihiro Tsutsui, co-founder of Bridgewell Corporation, known for his innovative product developments, including the “diaper subscription service” that has been successfully adopted by numerous local governments within just three years.

Through his expertise and leadership, Mr. Tsutsui emphasized how ToyTalk could radically enhance the capability of local governments to engage with tourists and optimize their process efficiency.
