On July 22, 2025, the China Household Electrical Appliances Association hosted the official launch event for the 2026 Appliance and Electronics World Expo (AWE2026) in Shanghai. The expo, themed "Smart AI, Smarter Future," promises to introduce a fresh format across two major venues from March 12 to 15, 2026. With an expansive area exceeding 170,000 square meters, it is expected to attract over 200,000 participants from around the globe.

Event Overview

AWE2026 will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center and the Sunrise Complex located in the Eastern Hub's international trade zone. Each venue is set to complement the other in terms of goals and functionalities. The New International Expo Center will be open for four days and will focus on showcasing over 1,200 leading brands. The last day will be dedicated to Consumer Day, underscoring the expo's commitment to consumer engagement.

The center will span 140,000 square meters, highlighting products related to smart living solutions, including advancements in home intelligence, digital entertainment, health and fitness, green energy, smart mobility, intelligent offices, and smart cities. This will provide brands with a unique platform to demonstrate their innovations.

In parallel, the Sunrise Complex will operate for three days, focused on advanced consumer electronics technology. The third-floor area of 30,000 square meters will feature cutting-edge advancements in sectors like semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence, next-gen information technology, display technology, robotics, drones, and new energy vehicles. Here, the exhibition will be structured into four thematic sectors that emphasize core technology advancements, innovative product commercialization, smart terminal upgrades, and intelligent lifestyle scenarios.
