About the Artists

Junko Uenuma

A graduate of the Tokyo University of the Arts, Uenuma has a rich background in vocal performance, having participated in numerous solo and chamber music concerts. Her notable roles in opera include Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Tsuu in The Crane, and Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro. A celebrated soprano, she has also sung lead roles in various productions, including performances with the Daybreak Opera Company. Uenuma continues to be an active member of the choral group FORESTA, appearing weekly on BS Nippon Television.

CHILDHOOD Duo

Founded in 2009, CHILDHOOD is a renowned duo consisting of Mitsuhiro Mori on handflute and Keisuke Usuda on piano. The duo has enchanted audiences both in Japan and abroad, with successful performances in locations like New York, Houston, London, and the Shanghai Expo. They are celebrated for their unique performances that highlight the handflute, a musical instrument that Mori pioneered, providing an innovative experience for listeners.
