Motorola Solutions Wins Major Project in Azerbaijan

In a significant step towards enhancing public safety infrastructure, Motorola Solutions was awarded a contract to comprehensively modernize Azerbaijan's TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) communication network. This initiative was commissioned by the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SCISSS), underscoring the government’s commitment to improving communication capabilities across its public safety agencies and state institutions.

Motorola Solutions, known for its leadership in critical communications technology, will be implementing its DIMETRA Connect solution that integrates TETRA radio services with broadband capabilities. This fusion ensures that users can maintain seamless communication even when they are out of the traditional radio coverage area. The modernization will help in improving the operational efficiency of state agencies, which will utilize the MXP660 radios, supporting multiple connections across the enhanced network.

To further bolster the reliability of the system, especially during unforeseen events such as power outages or natural disasters, Motorola Solutions will establish redundant systems across several data centers in different cities. This strategic move aims to maintain operational continuity and enhance the resilience of the communications network amidst challenges.
