Founded in April 2022 by former elementary school teacher Tatsuya Hoshino, NIJIN Co., Ltd. operates the NIJIN Academy, an alternative school that caters to elementary and middle school students across Japan. With approximately 400 students enrolled from 40 prefectures, NIJIN Academy employs a hybrid education model that integrates virtual classrooms through the metaverse, alongside real campuses. By 2033, NIJIN aims to establish 2,000 classrooms nationwide, catering to 30,000 students on a projected annual revenue of 15 billion yen.
