Tokyo's Cutting-Edge Medical Device Acceleration Project

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is launching its Advanced Medical Device Acceleration Project (AMDAP), inviting applications for innovative business plans related to advanced medical devices from startups and small to medium enterprises (SMEs). An online informational seminar will occur on June 2nd, where project details will be shared.

About the AMDAP

The AMDAP aims to support and accelerate the growth of promising medical device businesses. Selected businesses, with a maximum of three expected this year, will receive guidance and mentorship from catalysts and industry specialists. The program offers significant financial support for research and development, providing up to 300 million yen over a maximum of two phases. The funding covers two-thirds of qualifying expenses for up to three years.

This year's application period has officially commenced, with the deadline for submission of application documents set for July 11, 2023, at 17:00 JST. Upcoming Online Seminar Details

An online seminar will be held to provide aspiring applicants with valuable insights into the project on June 2nd from 13:00 to 14:00 JST. The seminar will include:
1. Project Overview: Understanding the AMDAP, its goals, and how to participate.
2. Guest Speaker Session: Daisuke Nakajima, CEO of Grace Imaging, will share insights from his experience and engage in a discussion about the challenges and opportunities in the medical device industry.
- Facilitator: Satoru Kashino, the project manager of the AMDAP, will guide this interactive session.
