Exploring the Future of Health Management: A Symposium on Business and Wellness



On May 30, 2025, the Association for Health and Management will hold its 11th symposium titled “Designing Health Management for Future Society,” aimed at promoting the integration of health and management in businesses. This hybrid event will be taking place at Nikkei Hall in Chiyoda, Tokyo, and will be broadcast live via Zoom.

Founded in 2013, the Association for Health and Management was established with the goal of promoting health management practices among organizations. The upcoming symposium seeks to underscore the importance of health in the workplace and its correlation with corporate success, featuring keynote speaker Aoi Hiroshi, the President and CEO of the Marui Group. His presentation will set the stage for a deeper conversation about effective health management strategies that align with future societal needs.

Keynote Presentations



The first part of the event will feature Aoi Hiroshi, who will discuss Marui Group’s approach to health management and corporate growth. With a focus on the belief that “growth of people equals growth of the company,” he will share insights on fostering innovation and evolving corporate culture to enhance employee well-being.

Following the keynote, the second part will bring together a panel of esteemed experts, including:
  • - Taisuke Hashimoto, Head of the Healthcare Industry Division at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), discussing policy directions for the next decade.
  • - Yasuhiro Sato, Head of the Insurance Bureau at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, outlining the government’s initiatives to support health management.
  • - Tomohisa Nagata, Associate Professor at the University of Occupational and Environmental Health, presenting on the return on investment and evidence supporting health management strategies.

The panel will then engage in a discussion with industry representatives, such as Reiko Kojima, the Chief Well-being Officer at Marui Group, and Hisamiko Konuma, Executive Director of the DISCO Health Insurance Society. Moderated by Yuji Yamamoto from Minacare, this interactive session will delve into the future of health management, highlighting challenges and solutions companies face in prioritizing employee health.
