FANCL Supports Kids Skincare Program with Yokohama DeNA BayStars Cheer School

FANCL's Involvement in Kids Skincare Education

FANCL has recently made a significant contribution to promoting skincare among youth by sponsoring a special workshop titled "Parents and Kids Learning Skincare Together." This event took place on May 17, 2026, specifically for students in grades four to six enrolled in the Yokohama DeNA BayStars Cheer School and their parents. On a day that marked the arrival of the hottest weather in Kanagawa Prefecture, 30 parent-child pairs, totaling 69 individuals, participated enthusiastically. The session was designed to help attendees learn about the importance of skincare, especially as they prepare for the season ahead when sweat and UV rays become more prevalent.

The initiative was part of FANCL's collaboration with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars Cheer School, which began in April 2026. The company aims to instill skincare habits from a young age to help reduce future skin issues. During the workshop, participants participated in enjoyable learning about the role of skin, the characteristics of children’s skin, and essential skincare practices that future-proof their dermis.

During the lecture, experts from FANCL explained how children’s skin, while often appearing healthy, lacks mature barrier functions and is prone to dryness. They highlighted that after the age of eight, oil production begins to increase, which can affect skin health. Fun quizzes and illustrations engaged the young audience, making the information more accessible and enjoyable.

Following the informational part, hands-on applications were introduced, where participants used FANCL’s child-friendly skincare line, including the "Clear Up" foam cleanser and gel milk, to practice effective washing and moisturizing techniques. A special experience involved measuring skin hydration before and after skincare routines, which revealed significant changes that left both parents and children amazed. "Wow! It changed so much!" echoed around the room as they witnessed the immediate benefits of their efforts.

The skincare workshop emphasized gentle cleansing with fluffy foam, effective hydration with gel milk, and visibly measuring the differences in skin moisture levels.

Feedback gained through post-workshop surveys indicated a positive response from the young participants, all of whom acknowledged the newfound understanding of skincare's importance. One child shared, “I felt great after my skin felt so refreshed.” Others added,
