OURoom Partners with BESS for Vacation Rentals
OURoom, a subscription-based vacation rental service operated by Wadukuru Inc., is collaborating with RC Core—a company renowned for its log house brand BESS—to offer unique staying experiences in BESS model showrooms located in Hokkaido and Chiba. This initiative marks a significant expansion in the offering of OURoom, which will now include 9 properties across different regions in Japan.
The launch of this new service will see model houses available for rent in two prominent locations: Ebetsu City in Hokkaido and Kisarazu City in Chiba. Reservations for these newly introduced properties will begin in November to December 2025. This partnership not only enhances the range of accommodations available through OURoom but also highlights a sustainable approach to utilizing existing properties targeted for vacation rentals.
Founded in September 2022, OURoom aims to rejuvenate under-utilized vacation homes resulting from aging owners and inheritance issues by offering affordable alternatives for lodging through a subleasing model. This approach allows members to enjoy vacation living without the burdens traditionally associated with property ownership. It presents a fresh lifestyle option, promoting free and elegant transitions between urban and rural living.
In July 2024, Wadukuru entered into a business alliance with RC Core, creating a framework for managing and operating lodge facilities previously owned by BESS homeowners. The first property to kick off this venture was a log house located in Minamiboso City, Chiba, which started operations in September 2024 as part of their vacation rental business.
RC Core has built an impressive reputation, having constructed and sold over 20,000 log houses and vacation homes under the BESS brand throughout Japan. It operates 32 individual LOGWAY showrooms, where visitors can engage with a series of model houses that encapsulate the BESS philosophy of ‘enjoying life rather than just living’. The new model showroom accommodations will provide guests with an enticing opportunity to experience what it’s like to stay in a BESS property.
Through this partnership, Wadukuru will oversee the operation and management of selected model houses, transforming them into unique lodging facilities where guests can immerse themselves in the BESS experience. Leveraging their expertise in vacation management and booking systems, Wadukuru aims to create added value for these display properties.
Looking ahead, the companies plan to explore further opportunities to expand the available lodging options on-site and grow into additional display locations, while continuing to develop the separate vacation rental business.
