Tipness Partners with Yokohama for Earth Hour 2026

Tipness Inc., headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is set to participate in "Earth Hour 2026 in Yokohama," an environmental action event organized by Yokohama City. This event, scheduled for March 28, 2026, encourages local businesses and citizens to come together in showcasing their commitment to combating climate change and preserving biodiversity through a collective electrical power shutdown.

On this specific date, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, Tipness will implement a lighting shutdown and dimming initiative at its four fitness locations throughout Yokohama. This initiative aligns with the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF) lead campaign, which is the largest global lights-out event, advocating participation from communities in a synchronized action to symbolize their dedication toward environmental stewardship.

In 2025, Tipness signed a collaboration agreement with Yokohama City focusing on promoting sports, health, and disaster preparedness in the region. This partnership is aimed at enhancing community services by creating opportunities for exercise among children and families, revitalizing the area through sports, encouraging health for senior citizens, and providing support during emergencies through facility usage. The upcoming involvement in Earth Hour is a significant manifestation of this collaborative effort, demonstrating Tipness's commitment to environmental actions that benefit the community.

As part of the shutdown event, Tipness will safely turn off or reduce lighting levels in various areas of their facilities. Each gym's exterior lighting and signs, as well as select lighting in lounges, studios, offices, and fronts, will observe the planned dimming.
