A Groundbreaking Collaboration: WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO x Schott
WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO, a cutting-edge conceptual project from Yohji Yamamoto, is launching its inaugural collaboration with Schott. This exciting partnership marks an intersection of innovative design and classic American craftsmanship, debuting exclusive items available on WILDSIDE's online platform as well as in select stores starting October 8, 2023.
The centerpiece of this collaboration is a sophisticated leather trucker jacket crafted from premium sheepskin. This American-made jacket draws inspiration from Schott's iconic design while incorporating the unique essence of WILDSIDE. With its sturdy yet supple texture, the jacket offers both a substantial feel and luxurious comfort, reflecting a perfect blend of durability and elegance.
The design features a generous boxy silhouette complemented by slightly oversized sleeves, creating a rugged yet timeless aesthetic. Respecting Schott's longstanding tradition of American craftsmanship, every detail of this jacket has been meticulously designed and manufactured in the USA.
Significant adjustments enhance its appeal, including unique zigzag stitching on the collar and reconfigured placements of the left chest pocket, ensuring both functionality and style. The jacket's front zipper, pull tabs, and snap buttons at cuffs and hem are unified in black, elevating its minimalist vibe, while also allowing for versatility in styling. The interior lining has also been simplified to a sleek black finish, resulting in a refined minimalist look that encapsulates WILDSIDE's distinctive world view.
