EJE Academies Welcomes Griselda A. Delgado as New Executive Director
EJE Academies announced the appointment of Griselda A. Delgado as their new Executive Director, effective January 6, 2026. With over 20 years of leadership experience in public education, Delgado is set to steer the organization through a pivotal chapter of growth and innovation.
Delgado's extensive background encompasses a strong commitment to instructional equity and bilingual education. Known for her passionate advocacy of dual-language programs, she emphasizes the importance of family engagement in fostering academic achievement and cultural pride among students. As EJE Academies continues to serve students in transitional kindergarten through the eighth grade, Delgado will play a vital role in aligning the organization’s goals with its mission to cultivate academic excellence and social responsibility within a bilingual setting.
Under Delgado's guidance, EJE Academies aims to navigate its reauthorization process and the consolidation of its charter schools into a comprehensive TK–8 entity. In her inaugural statement, she expressed her deep honor in serving the EJEA community, highlighting the importance of an educational environment that integrates language, culture, and high academic standards.
Before joining EJEA, Delgado was the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services for the South Monterey County Joint Union High School District. In this capacity, she led initiatives related to curriculum development and college and career readiness, demonstrating her strategic planning skills and collaborative leadership.
Additionally, Delgado has been involved with several educational and community initiatives, including her previous role as a Trustee for Southwestern College and a committee member of the San Diego Youth Symphony. Her dedication to local families is evident through her active participation in various civic and cultural projects throughout her career.
