An Exciting Opportunity for Female Idols

An exciting opportunity has recently been announced for female idols in Japan! The popular live streaming and video application, MixChannel (developed and operated by DONUTS Co., Ltd. in Shibuya, Tokyo), has partnered with the TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2026 to hold an audition for a role in the vertically-shot short drama titled 'I Tried Becoming LINE Friends with My Husband's Affair.' This adaptation of a widely popular manga will feature Miho Watanabe as the lead character, Hachi, alongside fellow actor Higashibukuro from the comedy duo Saraba Seishun no Hikari.

Audition Details

This audition is exclusively for active female idols who are at least 18 years old by June 30, 2026. Participants can enter via the official MixChannel audition LINE account. The audition process consists of several judging criteria:
1. MixChannel Points Evaluation - points earned through live streaming activities on the MixChannel platform.
2. Video Likes Evaluation - the total count of likes received for submitted video performances by viewers.
3. Acting Ability Evaluation - based on the judges' assessment of acting submitted videos.

The ultimate winner will be decided based on the combined scores from these three assessments, with a grand prize for one standout contestant. The two runners-up will also be selected based on their scores from the combined criteria, excluding the grand prize winner. The grand prize winner and the two runners-up will be revealed during the TIF2026 event at the MixChannel stage on July 31, 2026.

Event Timeline

• - Application Period: Until June 30, 2026.
• - Screening Period: July 9 - July 16, 2026.
• - Results Announcement: Expected on July 17, 2026.
• - Showcase Event: July 31, 2026, at the TIF2026 MixChannel stage.

Participants will also have their video shooting scheduled for a day or two in August, with the drama expected to be released in the early autumn of 2026.
