Unveiling the '̶(̶s̶u̶b̶l̶i̶m̶i̶n̶a̶l̶) pre-player' Exhibition
A captivating group exhibition entitled '̶(̶s̶u̶b̶l̶i̶m̶i̶n̶a̶l̶) pre-player', showcasing the works of talented artists Nao Kikuchi, Fu Nagasawa, and BIEN, will be held at the Art ka Bifun ka Paichu gallery in Roppongi from October 10 to November 15, 2025. This event promises to offer a unique experience where contemporary artistry intersects with everyday cultural sensations.
Organized by The Chain Museum, this exhibition not only aims to reflect on the textures and sensations represented in folk crafts, toys, and anonymous forms seen in urban environments but also seeks to re-evaluate modern life and culture through these insights. The artwork, available exclusively through ArtSticker, will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis starting October 10th at 5 PM.
Additionally, the opening reception on October 11th from 6 PM to 9 PM will be free for everyone, providing an excellent chance for attendees to engage with the artists and other art enthusiasts.
An Artistic Exploration
The exhibition’s title symbolizes the unconscious movements that begin before we articulate our thoughts, focusing on the sensory experience of 'touching visually and seeing with our hands' as a key player in our cognitive processes. This theme resonates through every piece displayed, inviting viewers to not just observe art but to engage deeply with the sensory aspects of the works.
Featured Artists
Born in Tochigi Prefecture and currently based in Karlsruhe, Germany, Nao Kikuchi graduated from the Karlsruhe Academy of Fine Arts in 2023 and holds a Master's degree in Oil Painting from Tama Art University.
