Chelten House Appoints Jason Dabrow CEO, Continuing Family Legacy of Leadership

A New Era at Chelten House: Jason Dabrow as CEO

Chelten House Products has officially named Jason Dabrow as its Chief Executive Officer, ushering in the fourth generation of leadership for the family-owned food manufacturer. Located in Swedesboro, New Jersey, Chelten House has established itself over the last 80 years as a prominent name in the food industry, known for its premium and organic sauces, dressings, and marinades. In this transformative phase, Jason takes over the mantle from his father, Steve Dabrow, who will serve as the chairman of the board.

Having been part of the family business for over two decades, Jason's journey began on the plant floor and progressed to pivotal roles across various departments. Most notably, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer since 2020, a period during which the company noted an impressive growth exceeding 50%. This trajectory of expansion has reinforced Chelten House's reputation as a key supplier for grocery retailers and restaurant brands nationwide.

In his new role, Jason intends to build on the company’s legacy and increase investments in the workforce, enhance culinary and manufacturing capabilities, and elevate operational efficiencies to meet the evolving needs of consumers. “My father's leadership has shaped Chelten House into the company it is today,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a customer-centric approach cultivated over generations. Under his guidance, the company aims to respond proactively to shifts in market tastes, reinforcing its commitment to quality and innovation.

Cheten House has its roots dating back to the 1940s when it was first established by Martin Dabrow. The company saw significant evolution in its early years, transitioning from a food distributor to a manufacturer. By the 1980s, it embraced the organic trend, forming strong partnerships with natural grocery stores long before the market fully caught on. Today, its products can be found in more than 30,000 stores across the United States, available under various grocery brands’ labels.

Moreover, Jason's promotion coincides with the appointment of Chris Sorensen as Chief Operations Officer. With a decade of experience within Chelten House, Sorensen's expertise will ensure the company's manufacturing, quality, and warehousing standards are maintained as the company embarks on its next growth phase.

Steve Dabrow praised the thoughtful approach taken in this leadership transition, asserting that Jason's deep understanding of every aspect of the business empowers him to lead Chelten House into the future successfully. “Jason has earned the trust of our employees and customers alike; he has the vision and discipline necessary for guiding Chelten House through the next chapter of its history,” he added.

As they celebrate over eight decades in the industry, Chelten House remains committed to nurturing long-term relationships with its partners and consistently developing high-quality products. This leadership transition marks not only a significant moment within the company but also a reaffirmation of its dedication to sustainable growth and innovation in the food sector.
