Hollyland Unveils Cosmo C2: Revolutionizing Multi-Camera Live Streaming
On February 13, 2025, Hollyland, renowned for its advanced wireless intercom solutions, introduced its latest product, the
Cosmo C2. This innovative solution is set to transform live broadcasting using multiple cameras and electronic field production (EFP) by addressing numerous persistent challenges faced in the industry.
A Solution to Multi-Camera Challenges
The Cosmo C2 showcases an impressive configuration featuring
2TX (transmitters) and 1RX (receiver). This setup effectively mitigates common issues associated with traditional 1TX and 1RX configurations, such as excessive wiring, spatial limitations, and synchronization delays between camera signals. With two transmitters able to relay image signals to a single receiver, the Cosmo C2 simplifies equipment setup while enhancing synchronization between camera feeds, ensuring a smoother broadcasting experience.
Spectacular Range and Low Latency
One of the standout features of the Cosmo C2 is its remarkable transmission range combined with minimal latency. It's ideal for high-quality live event broadcasting, boasting a wireless line-of-sight transmission range of up to
3,000 feet (1,000 meters). This capability effectively circumvents common transmission issues, such as signal dropouts and screen flickers, often encountered during live events. With a latency of just
33 ms, it significantly outperforms the typical benchmark of
60 ms, ensuring that screen synchronization remains tight, especially during live shows with LED displays.
Advanced Technology for Smooth Transmission
The Cosmo C2 employs Hollyland's proprietary
HEVO 2.0 technology, designed to tackle common live-streaming problems like environmental interference that can cause disruptions, screen failures, or stuttering. This technology can autonomously detect ambient frequency interference and switch seamlessly to a cleaner channel, providing uninterrupted transmission and an immersive viewing experience.
Moreover, the receiver utilizes an innovative algorithm to convert inputs with low frame rates to
60P, enhancing visual fluidity. In an unexpected loss of signal, the device is engineered to hold the last frame, avoiding the awkward display of manufacturer logos during live commercial breaks.
Streamlined Workflows and Compatibility
Hollyland’s Cosmo C2 is designed for ease of use, offering
plug-and-play compatibility for NDI, UVC, and RTMP outputs. By natively integrating NDI support within its receiver, it facilitates local area network video streaming without the need for additional converters. Furthermore, users can easily connect through a USB-C port, streamlining the process of direct UVC transmission without the need for a capture card. Its RTMP capabilities enable direct cloud streaming, minimizing reliance on external devices for real-time broadcasting.
Catering to the diverse demands of video professionals, the Cosmo C2 supports both HDMI and SDI connections, allowing for fractional frame rate signals, providing unparalleled compatibility across different setups. The system features comprehensive input and output ports, including HDMI input, SDI input, and looped SDI output on the transmitter, along with multiple HDMI and SDI outputs on the receiver.
Power Flexibility and Reliability
Adding to its reliability, the Cosmo C2 offers flexible power options. The transmitter supports both
DC power and NP-F batteries, while the receiver accommodates
DC power and V-Mount batteries, ensuring uninterrupted performance across various shooting scenarios.
Availability and Pricing
The
Cosmo C2 is tailored for the evolving needs of live event broadcasting and EFP and was launched on February 13, 2025. It is now available through local distributors and on Hollyland's Amazon store, with pricing set at:
