Edo Yoi Festival: Embracing Community Through Art and Culture

On August 22, 2026, the Edo Yoi Festival will take place at Nishikasai Elementary School, inviting families and community members to celebrate creativity and cultural diversity through children's art. This free event emphasizes the importance of children's perspectives on their beloved Nishikasai area. By encouraging children from various schools and backgrounds to express their love for local landmarks and spaces, the festival aims to nurture their sense of identity and belonging within the community.

Exhibition of Children's Art

Leading up to the festival, children will be given drawing papers to use at their leisure. They will be tasked with illustrating “favorite places in Nishikasai.” These artworks will be exhibited at the venue, allowing each child to share their unique perception of the area's charm with attendees.
