Bathhouse Expands with New Location on Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn

Bathhouse Expands Its Horizons with New Location

In a move to establish a more significant presence in New York City, Bathhouse will unveil its latest location on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn on May 16, 2026. This impressive outlet will encompass 32,000 square feet, with 27,000 square feet dedicated to indoor facilities and 5,000 square feet for outdoor usage, effectively bridging immersive wellness with modern bathhouse culture.

The Intersection of Wellness and Community

The choice of Atlantic Avenue is strategic, sitting at the confluence of four vibrant neighborhoods in Brooklyn. Co-Founder Jason Goodman emphasized the energy of the location, stating, "Atlantic Avenue sits at the intersection of four of Brooklyn's most vibrant neighborhoods. The energy is palpable." This new establishment aims to be a local refuge, making wellness accessible in the heart of the community.

Immersive Wellness Experience

The Atlantic Avenue Bathhouse is designed with an innovative perspective on wellness and restoration. It features four pools, including three thermal options indoors and one outdoors, along with four thermal rooms that include three saunas and a steam room. An outdoor sauna will complement the beautiful backyard space, enhancing the guest experience by integrating nature into wellness rituals.

Bathhouse emphasizes functionality, creating an environment that allows guests to engage actively in their wellness journey. The design encourages movement between contrasting hot and cold areas, stimulating the body’s natural recovery processes. The outdoor backyard provides a unique experience in Brooklyn, offering guests access to fresh air while maintaining the immersive atmosphere Bathhouse is renowned for.

Architectural Thoughtfulness

The internal design of the Atlantic Avenue location reflects Bathhouse's established architectural philosophy seen in their previous sites in Williamsburg and Flatiron. The team has meticulously crafted each detail, from the choice of materials to the layout, fostering a seamless transition from the bustling world outside into the calming realms of the bathhouse.

Co-Founder Travis Talmadge shared insights on how the design enhances the experience: "Guests move through a sequence of spaces designed to slow perception and heighten awareness, reinforcing the timeless function of bathhouses as places of transformation, restoration, and ritual."

Commitment to Community

Since its inception in Williamsburg in 2019, Bathhouse has quickly become a vital part of New York City's wellness scene. The opening of the Atlantic Avenue location represents Bathhouse’s growth and its dedication to solidifying roots in the communities it serves. The new site will offer the same treatment options, ensuring consistent quality across all locations while making wellness more accessible to a broader audience.

The Atlantic Avenue Bathhouse will be open to the public starting May 16th, 2026. With this expansion, Bathhouse continues to pave the way for modern wellness experiences that cater to not just individual needs but also foster community connections.
