Support and Solidarity Initiatives for Earthquake Victims in Venezuela
Providing Support to Earthquake Victims in Venezuela
On June 24, 2026, a significant earthquake struck the northwest region of Venezuela, leading to profound tragedy and loss of life. In light of this disaster, our heartfelt condolences go out to the families who have lost loved ones, and we extend our sympathies to those affected, as well as to our colleagues and partners in Venezuela.
As a global enterprise with a long-standing presence in this region, SMC is dedicated to standing alongside those impacted by this calamity and supporting their recovery journey. In response to the disaster, we have initiated various humanitarian efforts, showcasing our commitment to relief and rehabilitation for those in need.
Our employees across North America have engaged in collection initiatives, gathering essential supplies such as non-perishable food, clean drinking water, medical kits, and hygiene products. These goods have been organized into pallets, ready to be delivered through our partnership with the international humanitarian organization, Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), assisting victims on the ground.
Furthermore, we have made a donation of $7,500 to support GEM's ongoing relief activities, which include operating shelters, providing food and safe drinking water, and offering medical assistance. GEM also works on the long-term recovery efforts that will be vital for rebuilding the affected communities.
At SMC, we see it as essential not only to provide industry with automation solutions and pneumatic equipment but also to fulfill our broader responsibilities as a corporate citizen. Particularly in times of crisis, we believe it is our duty to support the communities and individuals affected by disasters through our business operations.
We would like to express our deep respect and gratitude for the humanitarian organizations, emergency responders, medical professionals, and volunteers working tirelessly to deliver aid and hope to those affected. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and we stand in solidarity with those providing vital support under challenging circumstances.
As recovery efforts progress, SMC remains committed to working closely with the people of Venezuela. Together, we will pursue support and resources aimed at facilitating swift recovery and reconstruction for the communities devastated by this earthquake.
Through these initiatives, we hope to strengthen ties within the community and reaffirm our promise to assist our Venezuelan partners and fellow citizens during this difficult time. Our collaborative efforts will play a crucial role in rebuilding lives and restoring hope.
As we continue on this journey, we are dedicated to ensuring that those impacted by the earthquake receive the help they need as quickly as possible.
