The 4th China International Supply Chain Expo Opens in Beijing

On June 22, 2026, the highly anticipated 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) opened its doors in Beijing, attracting attention and participation from around the globe. This event marks a significant milestone as it gathers approximately 1,300 representatives from governments, business sectors, academia, and international organizations spanning over 100 countries and regions.

Keynote speeches were delivered by notable figures, including South African Vice President Paul Mashatile, John W.H. Denton AO, Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce, and Xi Guohua, Chairman of CITIC Group. In addition, Jennifer Jordan-Saifi, the CEO of the Sustainable Markets Initiative, presented a congratulatory letter from His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom, adding prestige to the event.

Ren Hongbin, the Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), emphasized the expo's focus on sustainable economic growth, deeper trade and investment ties, and stronger international cooperation within supply chains. He reiterated the expo's aim to unveil new opportunities for both Chinese and global businesses while confirming CCPIT’s commitment to providing robust platforms and comprehensive support services for international companies. A highlight of the opening ceremony was the joint release of the 4th Beijing Initiative for CISCE by the CCPIT and leaders from the global business community. The theme for this year's expo, "Connecting the World for a Shared Future," reflects a collective aspiration for collaboration and innovation in supply chains.

The CISCE, supported by five major international organizations, including the UN Conference on Trade and Development and the World Intellectual Property Organization, showcases significant advancements and trends within multiple sectors. Noteworthy among the many participating nations is Australia, serving as the honorary guest country, with regions such as Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in France and Liguria in Italy making their debut as international guest regions. Furthermore, the provinces of Anhui and Hainan are noted as domestic honorary guest provinces, highlighting local contributions to the global supply chain landscape.

The expo features six key supply chains: digital technology, advanced manufacturing, sustainable agriculture, healthy lifestyles, smart vehicles, and clean energy. There is also a dedicated exhibition area focused on supply chain services. This strategic arrangement connects 676 leading companies and innovative SMEs from 85 countries and regions, creating an engaging environment for networking and collaboration among industry professionals and representatives from international organizations.
