Discover Kakimori's New Writing Tools
Kakimori, a stationery store known for its commitment to craftsmanship, has just unveiled three innovative writing tools as part of its continuous quest for promoting the joy of writing across the globe. Partnering with talented designers, artisans, and manufacturers in Japan, Kakimori emphasizes the beauty of traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Their latest offerings showcase this dedication and are designed to enhance the writing experience in our digitally dominated age.
The Three New Products
1. Metal nib - Copper
The Metal nib made from pure copper offers a beautiful transition in color from a pinkish-gold to a deep brown over time. This pen's natural aesthetic allows users to appreciate its unique patina as it ages, creating a sense of intimacy between the writer and their tool. Unlike coated alternatives, the raw copper enables a tactile engagement with the material, fostering a deeper connection with the act of writing. The introduction of this nib adds another exciting choice alongside Kakimori's existing brass and stainless steel options, catering to the preferences of diverse users.
2. Glass Nib
Collaborating with Sekiya Rika Co., known for its glass production, Kakimori presents the Glass nib. Artisans meticulously combine glass and metal components to create a refined writing instrument that's both functional and beautiful. Glass writing tools can often be difficult to produce on a large scale, which is why this collaboration aims to make the joys of glass pens accessible to more people. The transparency of the glass adds a delightful visual aspect that complements its functionality, elevating the overall writing experience.
3. Frost - Graphite
Enhancing the stunning Frost series launched last year, the new Frost - Graphite introduces a compelling gray color. This shade has been a staple in Kakimori's offerings since the beginning of its development. Reminiscent of frosted glass, the body is designed to be pleasing both when in use and when not. The semi-translucent finish reveals the inner mechanics while also showcasing the unique ink colors added by each user. The Frost - Graphite is available in a fountain pen with both fine and medium nibs, as well as a rollerball option.
Product Availability
Starting September 16, 2025, these new writing tools will be available at Kakimori's physical stores, online shop, and select retailers, with the exception of the Glass nib, which will be exclusive to direct sales. This strategic release aligns with Kakimori's mission to provide beautifully crafted writing instruments that inspire creativity and joy in everyday life.
